Shipping a puppy to a new destination might initially seem distressing, but in reality, we believe it poses more of a challenge for us than the puppy(s). Drawing from years of shipping experience, we can affirm that all the pups receive exceptional care throughout the journey. It’s essential to understand that the airlines, wary of potential legal repercussions and customer dissatisfaction, take utmost care in handling the puppies. Importantly, the puppies don’t travel alone; they are accompanied by an agent, often referred to as a Puppy Nanny, who ensures their well-being by providing food, clean water, and other comforts during the flight until the puppy reaches its destination.

The average flight duration ranges from 4 to 6 hours. We meticulously track flights, staying informed about any delays or layovers, and provide you with precise departure and arrival times.

Puppies typically arrive on the same day as they are sent, usually within a few hours. We prepare a comfortable crate with a fluffy bed of shredded newspapers and a blanket imbued with the mother’s scent for the puppy/puppies to nestle in. Additionally, we include a pig’s ear chew (a favorite) and a toy or sock with our scent to help the pup feel secure.

Choosing to ship is often a practical option as we strive to find suitable homes for our puppies, even if they are not within a convenient driving distance. The common query, ‘Is flying a puppy safe?’ is understandable and frequently asked. Rest assured, we wouldn’t opt for it if it weren’t.

Upon inquiring with the shipping company agents during our initial attempts to transport a puppy several years ago, we received a reassuring response: “When we book a flight for a puppy, it is only on safe and approved Airlines that have pet-safe programs following USDA guidelines.” The puppy shares the same air as the pilot flying the plane, and there is dedicated care on board and off the plane until the delivery is completed.

When arranging flights for our pets, we always prioritize finding the most direct route, similar to how you would for your own travel plans. Our puppies consistently arrive safely and in good condition at their new homes. The sentiment is reinforced by the observation that “flying a puppy on a 2-6 hour flight is better and more comfortable than driving with the puppy for 4 hours or more.” This confidence is rooted in our belief in their professionalism, ensuring the safe delivery of the puppy.
